Little People
Children’s Photography in CT – My Sweet, SWEET goddaughters
I’m not sure when my goddaughters turned into little ladies but it happened. They are all grown up and no longer babies. And I’m devastated. Lately I’m overwhelmed with their independence, their wittiness and their ability to hang out with us like friends of sorts. What happened to the sweet little girls that needed help showering and putting on their pj’s?
This year for Christmas, they each “bought” gifts at their local school Christmas shopping event for me. I was gifted with a scarf (“because you are always cold, Auntie Brooke”), a Christmas decoratation with attached frame (“because you like to take photos, Auntie Brooke – so you need a place to put them”) and a pedicure set (no explanation given or needed, ha!). It was so fun this year, watching them open and give presents; and so I guess if they have to grow up, I can learn to handle it. God help them when they start dating. LOTS of uncles (and dad) going to be regulating THAT!
I love you girls; a million, gagillion times more than you’ll ever know.
Children’s Birthday Party Photos – Two Turn Two!
A great part of being a photographer is being able to bring my camera along to personal stuff … so when two of my favorite little kiddos turned two this past weekend, I took the chance to snag some pics. I decided to put the entire post in b&w – maybe a little cool, art studio vibe? (Don’t worry mommas – the photos I’ll give you will be in color, too!)
Hard at work … in the incredible studio The Giggling Pig! Seriously, this art studio is amazing and a great place for kids to come and learn about art!
Happy kiddos!
The birthday boy seeing his cupcake for the first time – love this!
The birthday girl seeing her candles lit!
Happy birthday Win and Lyla! xoxo
CT Children’s Photographers – Meet Owen
I’m FINALLY blogging about all the fun stuff that happened this fall and I’m starting with this little guy …
Meet Owen.
He’s ADORABLE, so happy-natured and the best little smiler. I had such a fun morning with him and his family in Greenwich, CT at Binney Park. Let me tell you – there is nothing like being a children’s photographer … so many laughs and so much happiness from being around little people. Major X’s and O’s to little Mr. Owen!
Connecticut Newborn Shoot – Holiday Birth Annoucement
‘Tis the season of holiday cards … and newborns. I can’t tell you how many tiny, just-days-old newborns I’ve shot in the last few weeks. All the happy moms are anxious to produce winter birth announcements and holiday cards. This sweet little angel is my newest “niece” – her old sister makes my heart melt when she calls me Auntie Brooke. This isn’t her birth announcement photo but I had to share. Newborn deliciousness at its best! xoxo
Holiday Card Photos in Connecticut / Connecticut Children’s Photographers
This is my third blog post of the day – can you all tell I am FINALLY catching up?! YAY!
I was lucky enough about a month ago to shoot sweet little baby M. What a quiet and gorgeous little guy! Recently, baby M’s older, super cute cousin and I were able to meet and take some photos. LOVED HIM! What an excited, sweet, polite little boy. When I told him I had plans to head up the hill and shoot at a new place his response was, “Great … because I wanted to shoot there, too!” I am such a sucker for sweet well-behaved boys – congrats to his momma for raising a future gentleman! Thanks for an awesome shoot! xoxo
Beautiful Sundays / Connecticut Children’s Photographers
Life seems to be a blur lately … fall, holiday card shoots, weddings, Thanksgiving and Christmas coming. In the middle of all the chaos, a beautiful, gorgeous-weather Sunday happens and I’m lucky enough to have shot two families outside. And it’s on days like that where I am driving home and feeling that even in the chaos, god is blessing me in so many ways and that I am ONE LUCKY LADY.
Loved this little guy!
The before shot is “I don’t know how I feel about photos” face and the after shot is “why, yes! I can smile for candy!”
These next four kiddos (ok, three plus the sweetest pup) are a family I look forward to shooting each year!
