It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Let’s just say technology and equipment DO.NOT.LIKE.ME. There’s been days where I have to laugh about it all or else I’ll curl up in the corner, call my mom and cry for a good hour. Although I keep reminding myself it’ll all get better, I keep waking up expecting it to be a “crazy, oh-my-god-I-can’t-take-another-thing-going-wrong” kind of day and you know what? I’m tired of thinking that way. So today I’ve decided to focus on the good stuff, no matter how small it might seem. Because you know what? Focusing on the small little treasures in a day is a lot happier than thinking about all that other stuff.
So today I’m thinking about the past week and the FREAKING AWESOME shoots I had. And later today? I’ve got an engagement session in NYC that I’ve been dying to do. After that, I’m staying in the city for a night with my girl Nora whom I NEVER get to see because of my schedule. And this morning? I’m going to enjoy some fresh air and plant my new sage plant that my girl Steffi brought me yesterday just because she knew I wanted sage in my backyard.
Good riddance to equipment problems and a string of days I’m more than happy to forget. Here’s to the sun that finally came out today, five extra minutes to sip coffee on the couch in my old lady bathrobe and here’s to planting that new sage plant … and any other little moments of insane joy that may want to pop in today.
