I’m heading on vacation tomorrow to gorgeous Cape Cod. Can I get a whoop whoop? I’m ridiculously excited if you know me. This is my favorite time of the year.
Some issues with others have come about recently that have to do with me and my business and what makes me “me.” And it got me thinking – can you embrace YOU?
Sure, we all for the most part are aware of what makes us unique and we understand how we are typically viewed. But are we proud enough to be ourselves? I know that I’ve finally gotten the courage to speak freely on this blog and just.be.me. (and if you know me then you know that italics and periods between sentences is a double whammy of dramatics!)
And so I thank all of you, whether clients or readers or just mini-fans. Thanks for embracing me and all that makes.me.ME. Here’s a little more about me:
I talk way too loud … all the time.
I’m so dramatic – about everything.
I love junk food. If I could eat every McDonalds every meal I would. (Well, and a dunkin donut or two.)
I’m super clumsy and almost fell into an inground pool this summer while shooting a wedding.
I love reality t.v. Can I get a whoop whoop for Housewives of New York, NJ and O.C. ?
I love saying “look badass” while shooting groomsmen at weddings. It’s just my thing.
I call my husband Bear. (he is so going to kill me for this)
I talk to my dog in a ridiculously high baby voice and refer to myself as “your momma” when speaking to her.
If I could wear frosty lip gloss and eyeshadow, coupled with extra bronzer all the time, I would. But I don’t and therefore, I always look pale.
I have three holes pierced in each ear but can only get earrings into the first hole — it was one of those bad high school decisions to pierce my own ears with a pin …
I eat Captain Crunch cereal for dinner all.the.time. And it’s delicious.
I love shopping at yard sales for … well, for junk that I really, really just.need.to.have.
The bridesmaid dresses I made my best friends wear at my wedding were … ugly. There I said it.
I cry when saying goodbye to people. Especially my grandparents.
I bite my nails. Eww, I know.
I love headbands and wear one at every wedding I shoot.
And last but not least, I dance like no one’s watching. During the weddings I am photographing. And people stare. A lot. Sometimes they point too. And I just laugh and think that my life is absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. And I also think that Lady Gaga is just too cool for words.

Oh and one more thing to add to the list:
I apparently make very strange faces (and do something weird with my chin) when busting a move on the dance floor.
I hope you finish reading this and think about all the things that make you uniquely fabulous. And I hope you feel proud about them all.

We love everything about YOU Brooke!
And might we add that we think your dance moves are quite impressive!
