Melissa and John make me smile … mostly because they remind me so much of Jeremy and I. They are the same balance of personalities that we have so it’s no surprise Melissa and I got lost on the phone together for HOURS at a time throughout her wedding planning. It’s just SO DARN NICE to talk with someone who relates to you so much and who thinks so similarly! Melissa – thanks for the awesome chats over the past year!

After an awesome engagement shoot, ahem, shoots, (John, I’m just glad you had your wedding outfit set the first time!) I expected an easy-breezy day at Melissa and John’s wedding. What I didn’t expect was to show up and see the incredible Dana Bartone working her hair and makeup magic and a FABULOUS group of bridesmaids. Ladies – thanks for such a wonderfully warm welcome and for being amazing throughout the entire day. Here’s how the day looked when Steffi and I showed up …

I just can’t help but share these two church shots. LOVE Melissa noticing what it looks like for John to have on a WEDDING RING.

A real treat was being able to shoot at the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina … great spot and beautiful views.

We headed to the Eolia Mansion at Harkness State Park for the reception and formals. The weather was PERFECT and when we showed up, Noreen from Earth Blossoms Flowers  was working her magic. I can’t remember the last time I saw such gorgeous flowers and they were EVERYWHERE. Noreen, when can we work together again?!

I just had to share some sweet moment that involved their guests … one of the nicest group of guests ever and we had some fun with a few …

I had to give a shout out for the cake — baked by the bride’s mother and decorated by a family friend as a gift. IT WAS REMARKABLE in person.
